Anyone else love living in Deerfield Beach?
First post here. I've been here for 16 years and With a population of 86,742, Deerfield Beach is a smaller city. Median household income is $56,976, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $274,400 on average. The median home value here is around $274,400, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Easy commute
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Poor road conditions
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
