Longtime lurker here, Household incomes average around $189,705 in Deerfield. Median household income is $189,705, which feels pretty solid for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Deerfield? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I work in government here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is decent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
