How is the nightlife in Deerwood?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Median household income is $83,400, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 5 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much stable but now it's pretty good.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is decent.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
