Rent in Defiance getting crazy

Random thought, We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $841 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? Any help is appreciated. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely improving and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much reasonable but now it's solid.
