Best areas to explore in DeForest?

Been meaning to ask this. I work in healthcare and Median household income is $106,223, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,381/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 2 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
