Dog-friendly places in Del Rio?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The weather scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Springfield for 8 years. Moved from Raleigh for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Springfield schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Can feel isolated. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 9 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The safety scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
