Quick question about DeLand
I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,159/month for a decent place. With a population of 39,832, DeLand is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for DeLand? Any help is appreciated. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
