Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 14.0%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $270,300, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any help is appreciated. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
