Career opportunities in Delano, CA

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Rent is about $1,111/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 12 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
