Most overrated things about Delray Beach

Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. With a population of 66,940, Delray Beach is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 66,940 people. Household incomes average around $79,393 in Delray Beach. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Strong sense of community
- Walkable downtown
- Good internet infrastructure
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Not very walkable
- Homelessness issues downtown
What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Hope this helps!.

I'm a HR manager and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
