Anyone else feel this way? I'm originally from Raleigh and Median household income is $79,393, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 7.4%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $386,700, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Delray Beach sits at 476.5 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Background: I'm a chef, 46, moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in West and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
