Deltona in the winter -how bad?

Hey, With a population of 95,682, Deltona is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 9.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $254,100 on average. Rent is about $1,547/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Moved here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in West for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The job market scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
