Is Deltona a good place to live?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2019. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 95,682 people. Homes are going for about $254,100 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Lots of new development
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Cold winters
- Rising rent prices
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports
Has anyone dealt with this? Cheers. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
