Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,547/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in East area are decent. Kids love it here.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 7 years. Moved from LA for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
tech is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Can feel isolated. Bugs and humidity in summer. And cost of living can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Seattle about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
