Most overrated things about Deltona

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $1,547 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 95,682 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Deltona sits at 548.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- The walkability scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..
