Hello, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Deltona sits at 548.5 per 100K. Household incomes average around $72,967 in Deltona. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much wild but now it's surprisingly good.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Eastside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good airport with direct flights
- The school system scene is tough
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..
