Should I move to Demopolis or stay in St. Louis?

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are With a population of 7,010, Demopolis is a small town. Median household income is $41,457, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $198,900 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Highland for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The nightlife scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 14 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
