Curious what people think. I work in insurance and It's a a small town city with about 4,879 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input.

I work in hospitality here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is average. Good luck with whatever you decide..

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Korean places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I work in manufacturing here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is pretty good. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
