Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $160,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Denton sits at 441.9 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 1,271 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
