Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 13 years and Median household income is $73,719, which feels about average for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in education. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
