Affordable areas near Denver?

Alright, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,770/month for a decent place. With a population of 714K, Denver is a major city. It's a a major city city with about 714K people. Homes are going for about $586,700 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 12 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
