Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 714K, Denver is a major city. Homes are going for about $586,700 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
