Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2013. With a population of 12,359, Derby is a small town. Poverty rate is 4.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in education. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.
