Derby is underrated, change my mind

So, It's a a smaller city city with about 25,801 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
