Biggest downsides of living in Des Moines?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Orlando and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winte

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
