Is Des Moines getting better or worse?

Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $89,787 in Des Moines. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts?

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
