Best apartments in Des Plaines under ?

So, The median home value here is around $318,200, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,435 for rent here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
