Best companies to work for in DeSoto?

I've been here for 9 years and Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Minneapolis about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
