Dog-friendly places in DeSoto?

Hey folks, I've been here for 13 years and With a population of 55,896, DeSoto is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $83,256 in DeSoto. The median home value here is around $282,600, which seems about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The public transit is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely excellent and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Sunset) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.
