Curious what people think. I've been here for 4 years and Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thoughts?

Bought a house here in 2019 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Southern places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much manageable but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I work in construction here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is underrated. Definitely worth checking out..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Tampa it's better than expected.
