Moving from Seattle to Devon next month
Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2021. The median home value here is around $658,100, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $194,813 in Devon. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I overthinking this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development.
