How is the nightlife in Dexter?

Alright, I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned?

I've lived in West for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The cultural scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
