Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Diamond Bar sits at 127.7 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I've lived in Highland for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The weather scene is average
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 1 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into running, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
