Healthcare options in Diamond Bar?

Hi all, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 53,750, Diamond Bar is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $2,422 for rent here. The median home value here is around $867,000, which is pretty steep. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Diamond Bar? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 26, moved here 3 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in North and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Friendly community, easy to meet people
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Homeless population growing downtown
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The cultural scene situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for couples. tough vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
