Household incomes average around $106,602 in Diamond Bar. Median household income is $106,602, which feels pretty solid for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I work in engineering here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is pretty good. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much wild but now it's surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The public transit scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
