Is Dickinson good for remote workers?

Longtime lurker here, I'm retired and Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Chicago it's better than expected.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in education. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is underrated in most areas.
