Moving to Dickson with kids -good idea?

Hey, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $69,074 in Dickson. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much established but now it's underrated.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..
