Alright, I'm retired and Median household income is $58,371, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $113,300 on average. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Nashville it's challenging.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cost of living is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a nurse, 28, moved here 12 years ago from LA. I've lived in Old Town and Springfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Limited shopping options
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The food scene situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for singles. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Springfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from LA, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$110K here.
**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
