Top 5 things I love about Dobbs Ferry

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 40-year-old teacher and The median home value here is around $719,300, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great. Appreciate any input. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in East for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:

- Nice parks and green spaces

- Strong job market in several industries

- The pet-friendliness scene is hit or miss

The downsides:

- Summers can be brutally hot

- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
