Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 15.0%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $122,800 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The healthcare scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..
