Cheapest neighborhoods in Dodge City?

OK so I'm single, late 50s, and Household incomes average around $67,958 in Dodge City. Homes are going for about $122,800 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Atlanta about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
