Dog-friendly places in Dodge City?

Poverty rate is 15.0%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $122,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,652 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Let me know your thoughts. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely challenging and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The food scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from San Diego about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
