Life in Dolgeville as a young professional

Hi all, I'm single, late 40s, and Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
