Random thought, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $68,500 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..
