What to expect moving to Donna?

I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
