Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $88,474 in Doral. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value safety, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely decent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (East) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
- The traffic scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 9 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in finance. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

- Four distinct seasons
- The food scene scene is improving
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Fairview for 9 years. Moved from Houston for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.
**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Nightlife is limited. And cost of living can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 7/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The walkability scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
