First post here. Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 9.6%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,510 for rent here. Rent is about $2,510/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
