Housing market in Dothan right now

Hey folks, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $186,600 on average. The median home value here is around $186,600, which is actually reasonable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Cheers.

I've lived in Sunset for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much pricey but now it's better than expected.
