Curious what people think. Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $136,100 on average. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I overthinking this?

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Riverside area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in legal. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
