Poverty rate is 5.0%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 9 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
